What services do you offer?
I provide professional captain for hire services on your boat, including fishing charters, boating education, hands-on safety instruction, sightseeing cruises, and boat relocation services throughout Stuart, Jupiter, Jensen Beach, Fort Pierce, and Southeast Florida waters.
What are your rates?
Captain services are $400-500 per day for full-day service (8-10 hours). Crew/DeckHand services are $150-250 per day. Boats over 28ft require both captain and crew. When booking crew, a 50% deposit is required. Rates are subject to change, so please request a quote for current pricing.
What areas do you serve?
I serve the Treasure Coast region including Stuart, Jupiter, Jensen Beach, Fort Pierce, Palm City, and Southeast Florida waters. This includes the St. Lucie River, Indian River Lagoon, and both inshore and nearshore fishing grounds.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, I am a U.S. Coast Guard licensed OUPV (Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels) captain with over 20 years of maritime experience. I carry professional liability insurance and can provide verification upon request.
Do I need to provide my own boat?
Yes, I operate as a captain for hire on your vessel. I specialize in power vessels only and have experience with multiple vessel types. This allows you to enjoy your own boat with professional guidance and expertise.
What expenses am I responsible for?
As the boat owner, you're responsible for all operational expenses including bait and tackle, food and supplies, transportation to/from vessel, boat fuel and maintenance, dockage and port charges, meals and accommodations, and any repairs or additional fees.
Do you offer boating education and training?
Yes! I provide professional boating education, hands-on safety instruction, and on-the-water lessons. Whether you're a new boat owner looking to gain confidence or want to sharpen your boating skills, every trip is tailored to your goals and experience level.
What is your cancellation policy?
A 50% deposit is required when booking crew services. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund. Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled at no additional charge. Please contact me to discuss specific circumstances.
